HB 228 hearing – One-Hour Reprieve – 9 AM

January 20, 2009

The House Judiciary Committee will begin hearing on our two bills, HB 246 (Montana-made guns) and HB 228 (Self Defense) at 9 AM this Thursday, instead of the usual 8 AM. Between 8 and 9 the Committee will receive and hear from the U.S. Attorney (federal) for Montana, Bill Mercer.

Starting at 9 AM instead of 8 AM should make it easier on those of you traveling that morning.

Don’t forget to review my advice about appearing before committees at:
http://progunleaders.org/Legislative%20Process/hearing.html

This includes my advice to show up 15 minutes before the hearing to get a seat, and 30 minutes before that at the Capitol in order to locate a parking place, and to be brief in your statements.

For those of you who can come, THANKS LOADS!! For those of you who can’t get there, send emails, electronic messages, letters and phone messages to Committee members.

Best wishes,
